How many GByte of data can I transfer monthly
if my link is at 128 KBit/s ?
Monthly fees for dedicated contracts are based on maximum
of 40% streaming.
So for 128 KBit/s CIR bandwidth, the theoretical monthly
(720 hours) maximum transferable data is about 40 GByte.
Hence 40% of this total means on our 128 KBit contract
you may transfer up to 16 Gbyte monthly without any
extra charges. You would be charged Rp. 278 per excess
MByte transferred or Rp. 284,444 per excess GByte.
What is the cost of equipment/linking to our
network?
Cost of equipment naturally depends on the density of
our network respectively location of the client.
In most cases, cost for equipment will be less than
Rp. 1 million, sometimes up to Rp. 2.5 million or more,
if we need to set up an external antenna system plus
wireless ethernet client. In most cases we use 5.8 GHz
with up to 108 MBit/s equipment for long range, 2.4
GHz 802.11g at 54 MBit/s for short range from next relay.
We can and do hook up clients to 2.4 MHz legacy 802.11b
systems if they want that or have old equipment already.
Whenever the client's location helps us to improve
density of our network, we pay for the equipment and
let our client just use it free of cost in exchange
for improving our infrastructure by adding a relay. Therefore, before we can really define cost
of equipment, we need to do a site
survey.
